Elsa Gaviria

Our dear mother Elsa Gaviria Villarreal sadly passed away on July 28, 2022, at the age of 85. 

She was born in Lima, Peru to Lola Villarreal “La Chira” and Eduardo Villarreal. Was mother to Rosa Arrieta, Elsa (Judy) Vasquez and Edwin Gaviria. In 1964 immigrated to USA and lived in Pasadena (Pasadinita linda!).

She met the love of her life Gibson Gaviria and they were happily married for 59 years; she became a widowed in October 2013. Together they enjoyed dancing, many trips to Las Vegas, traveling and getting together with family and many friends.

She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends and was well-loved by family and many dear friends.

Mom is survived by her daughters Rosa and Elsa (Judy), and five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Mom you will live in our hearts forever and will be missed!
