Manuel Villalobos Jr. was born on June 20, 1952, in Tijuana, Baja California Mexico to Manuel O. Villalobos and Margarita Villalobos (Vasquez). The new family immigrated to Los Angeles Where Manuel was raised. He is survived by his siblings: Gloria Villalobos, Mary Lou Cruz (Ruben Cruz+), Beto (Alberto) Villalobos, Sylvia Ramirez (Juan Ramirez), Francisco Javier Villalobos (Joanna Villalobos). Manuel is also survived by 11 nephews and nieces and many grand-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by both his parents. Also preceded in death by his adopted sons Frank Tranquilino and Rudy Tranquilino.
Manuel was a hard worker from an early age working at Dodger Stadium, Great Western, Sports Arena, Music Center and other venues. He also worked for Westlam Foods Corporation in Chino for many years before his retirement.
Manuel dedicated his retirement years to caring for our mother until her passing in November 2011. Manuel was a loving brother, uncle, and Godfather to many. He was willing to sacrifice for others and went out of his way to offer a helping hand. There are too many stories to share in this obituary but the fact that he had a great heart is sufficient to understand who he was in this life, but I will share this. In spite of Manuel suffering his long illness, he still did his best to look after our sister Gloria in her illness until his last day. May God bless him for his great love. He will be missed, but we are grateful to God that he is now enjoying a well-deserved rest with our Lord and his loved ones who have gone before him.
